Hello fellow deviants,

As it might be apparent for most of you, I'm not working anymore to the deviantAnywhere for both Firefox and Chrome, sorry :(. This is due to two main reasons that I'll try to briefly illustrate below.

First, I'm not so much involved into the arts anymore these days, so deviantArt has dropped from the lists of site I use daily. Visiting deviantArt every day and being involved in this awesome community drove  the incentive to work on this add-on.

Second, I have my schedule full with either other projects that I find now interesting, or projects that pay the bills. When I'm not busy with those, I just want to enjoy a nice game or just relax.

The project is open source, and you are more than welcome to use it to build another extension or even to create pull request (code fixes) to it: github.com/surdu/deviantAnywhe… . The Firefox version is too broken to be reusable, I guess, I didn't worked on it for years, and most probably the code for it is obsolete, but if there is anybody who needs it I can search my drives for it and put it as well on github.

I might re-start the work on deviantAnywhere in the future, but I really don't want to set high hopes for anybody.

The usual sign-off "N-joy and stay tuned" I believe doesn't apply so much anymore, so I'll end this by thanking all deviants that supported and liked deviantAnywhere during all this time !

PS: if you didn't already know about it, there is an alternative to deviantAnywhere that it looks like it is still maintained: danotifier.deviantart.com/
Hello fellow deviants :D

Just a small heads up to the Chrome users: version 1.3.1 is out with the following additions:

- Extension popup will now reflect when the user is not logged in and helps him to login
- Added support for "Mentions" message type

Small stuff, pushed days ago but I didn't had time then to mention it here and later I forgot :(.

N-joy and stay tuned ;)

The new Firefox 44 I think had a toolbar addon updater making it now broken. You can still hear it when it goes off just can't see it.

They don't have a Firefox version yet though, and I won't use Chrome.

It appears that dA got rid of the zendesk part of messages (who knows how they show up now), so remove that part of the messages DiFi URL and things should work again :)

It wouldn't be easy.  I was mainly just informing the developer here.
